
According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, preliminar reports indicate that 16 missiles were fired on the outskirts of the city of Zaporizhzhia using an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.
Oleksandr Starukh, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, reported: “People were queueing in order to enter the temporarily occupied territory to pick up their relatives or deliver humanitarian aid. There are fatalities and casualties.
Rescue workers, medics and other relevant services are at work at the scene.”
1 October has been declared a day of mourning in the city of Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
