The West must prepare for the impending collapse and break-up of Russia, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council secretary, Oleksiy Danilov, told The Times.
He projected this will happen within three to seven years and said the collapse will be “spectacular.”
“It is a historical process, and you can’t stop history,” Danilov said, noting that the “fragmentation” of Russia is already underway.
He mentioned the recent summit of Russian President Putin’s and Chinese President Xi, saying that it has confirmed what Ukraine long believed: that Russia is weak and at risk of falling apart.
According to Danilov, the West is afraid of Russia’s fragmentation but must be prepared when it happens.
