Russia prepares for illegal elections in Ukraine’s occupied territories

Russia continues to prepare for illegal elections in the occupied Ukrainian territories. Specialists from the Russian Federation are arriving in the occupied regions, the National Resistance Center reported.

“Yes, a year and a half has passed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and the Russians still do not trust the collaborators, who perform a purely demonstrative role and have no power in the region,” the National Resistance Center explained.

This is how Russia is trying to improve the situation with illegal elections after the failure of the “referendum,” which the majority of the population ignored.

“For this purpose, political technologists, observers, rally organizers and propagandists arrive at temporarily occupied territories. Control over the “electoral process” will be carried out by representatives of the Russian Central Committee from the Russian Federation,” the NRC added.

The Russians are already forcing employees of state-owned enterprises to come to vote on a certain day. The process will be filmed because Moscow is trying “to draw the turnout, at least on camera.”

In addition, the occupiers force the local population to obtain a Russian passport. In Luhansk Oblast, in particular, they seek to forcefully passport children from 14 to 18 years old.

“A commission will be sent to each of the captured areas, which will search for teenagers without an enemy passport. For this purpose, “volunteers” from the Kremlin youth movements arriving from the Russian Federation will be involved, who will bypass the houses,” the NRC reports.

Children are offered to obtain a passport, and their parents are also threatened with the lack of social benefits or the child’s admission to study.

“Recruitment” to the ranks of the Russian army intensified in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
