Russia loses power: missile factory attacked

Ukrainian attack drones attacked the Smolensk Aviation Plant in western Russia. The enterprise produced Kh-59 missiles. Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed the information.

“The confirmed data indicate that three out of four drones hit the target, causing significant damage to the production facilities of the military enterprise of the aggressor state,” the intelligence said.

The process of producing Kh-59 missiles of various modifications at the aviation plant was disrupted, the intelligence added.

“The Kh-59 missile (as a modification of the Kh-59MK2) of the air-to-surface class with a range of up to 280 km is one of those with which the Russian Aerospace Forces most often fire at military and civilian targets in Ukraine,” the intelligence said.

Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Oblasts suffer the most from the use of such weapons.

The plant in Smolensk was attacked on the morning of October 1. The enterprise is part of the Russian state Tactical Missiles Corporation.
