Russia plans to implement a policy to open “centers for the popularization of the Russian language” across Ukraine’s occupied territories, according to the National Resistance Center (NRC).
This initiative reportedly has the support of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.
“The Kremlin Fuhrer has set a priority to equip Russian glorification rooms in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions destroyed by the Russian invaders,” the NRC stated.
This linguistic push stems from Moscow’s failed expectations of complete loyalty from local residents in occupied areas. The policy reflects ongoing efforts to fully assimilate Ukrainians into the “Russkyi Mir” [literally “Russian World,” the idea that Russian culture completely dominates all other civilizations – ed.], NRC said.
The plan involves establishing Russian-language centers in every school library. Schools have become hubs for Kremlin propaganda in the temporarily occupied parts of Ukraine, with local “teachers” being specially trained for this purpose.
As reported earlier, the Russian occupying authorities are forcing Ukrainian children to swear allegiance to Russia, the NRC has said. The latest case was documented in Mariupol, the second most populous city in the Donetsk region.
The military indoctrination of children in the occupied territories is another tactic to cultivate a generation of “military loyalty” to terrorist Russia.
