Registration starts for UWC’s global events map ahead of war anniversary

As the Russo-Ukrainian war approaches its fourth year, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) offers a unique opportunity to register for commemorative events on a specially designed global map in anticipation of the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. 

We encourage Ukrainian organizations and friends of Ukraine around the world to join the “Stand With Ukraine! Unite for Ukrainian Victory!” campaign and remind the world that Ukraine’s struggle continues.

The world still remembers when Russia’s all-out invasion took place on Feb. 24, 2022, in what is the European continent’s bloodiest ground war since World War II. 

After registration and verification, all events will be displayed on the online event map. Anyone interested can participate and find an event in their area.

A key event in the campaign will be the Global Alarm rally. 

Ukrainian communities worldwide will activate air raid warnings on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. local time, as a reminder to the world about the ongoing war and a call to action.

On Jan. 11, the Ukrainian World Congress launched a major advocacy campaign ahead of the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, titled “Stand with Ukraine.” 

The campaign aims to remind the world of the ongoing war’s third year and highlight the devastating impact of Russia’s invasion on Ukraine and the global community. It also calls on democratic governments to harness support for Ukraine, increase pressure on Russia to end the war, and restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

The global campaign is supported by the International Center for Ukraine Victory and Communities Army of Ukraine.
