Russia needs to be expelled from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in order to save the institution, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said.
“Moscow actually took the OSCE hostage, manipulating the principle of consensus and thus destroying the organization from the inside,” the minister said.
Russia seeks to sow chaos and destabilization, Kuleba emphasized. The minister called Moscow the greatest threat to security and cooperation in Europe and offered to “put Russia out of the door of the OSCE”.
“Today I confirmed my position that if we want to save the OSCE, to save security and cooperation in Europe, we must put Russia at the door of the OSCE and at the door of Europe. This will be better for everyone,” Kuleba said.
The minister said that the Kremlin is now “killing” the OSCE and added that it is “easy to imagine” the organization without Russia.
