In a recent video message about the five months of operation of the UNITED24, a fundraising platform, the President of Ukraine thanked the Ukrainian World Congress for one of the largest contributions to aid Ukraine.
The donation of $600,000 USD collected through the UWC’s UniteWithUkraine initiative for the “Army of Drones” for Ukraine’s Independence Day became the second largest donation of the month after the contribution of the Pfizer Charitable Foundation — $5,000,000 for medical aid.
The President reported on recent purchases. “All this became possible thanks to you,” Volodymyr Zelensky thanked everyone involved in the fundraising.
According to President Zelensky’s announcement, UNITED24 has collected almost $200 million in contributions. Such world stars as Barbara Streisand and Mark Hamill (who played the role of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars), are among its Ambassadors.
