President Yushchenko calls on Ukrainians and friends around the world to support the “Army of Drones”

The President of Ukraine (2005-2010) Viktor Yushchenko called on Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine to join the “Army of Drones” campaign.

Dear Ukrainians! Dear friends from around the world!

150 years ago Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko wrote these weighty words with particular significance for us today:

My beloved innocent country
Why does the Lord punish you,
Heavy punishment? For Bohdan,
And for furious Peter

Thus Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko identified the roots of our affliction, the Ukrainian affliction, as Moscow and Moscow policy. That is why the poet cautioned that every Ukrainian should live by one principle: as far from Moscow as possible.

Six months ago, the Moscow disaster knocked on our door. Thus began the 27th war between Russia and Ukraine.

Need I remind you of the inhuman evil that is opposing Ukraine today? Perhaps, but anyone with eyes can see it, with ears can hear it, with a heart can definitely feel it. We see rivers of blood flowing through Ukraine, hear the screams of mothers and children, feel the incredible pain of each Ukrainian.

Should I remind you that Ukraine is defending not only itself, but, without exaggeration, the entire civilized world, from the Russian barbarians, the orc-rapists? Maybe it’s worth it, although anyone with a brain can’t avoid understanding.

Ukrainian soldiers, our heroes-defenders, demonstrate incredible courage and the highest military skill, repulsing an enemy that is many times, dozens of times, superior in weaponry to the Ukrainian army. Our heroes stopped this horde and even freed part of our holy Ukrainian land once occupied by orcs.

In fact, our defenders need our protection. All of us united can support them and help Ukraine win for the whole world.

As part of its UniteWithUkraine campaign, the Ukrainian World Congress and the presidential initiative UNITE24 created the “Army of Drones” campaign to build a great gift for the 31st anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. Unmanned aerial vehicles are extremely important in modern warfare. They are called the eyes that see where the enemy is hiding, and, therefore, protect the lives of our heroes.

I urge you, my friends, everyone who hears and sees me, to collect funds and send them to the specified campaign. With the funds raised, the Ukrainian World Congress will purchase drones of certain specifications and will guarantee delivery to our defenders. Each of your contributions will help save the lives of Ukraine’s defenders and bring us closer to joint victory.
