The abrupt decision by the United States to pause intelligence sharing with Ukraine is deeply alarming and morally unjustifiable. Every day, Ukrainian families rely on timely, accurate intelligence to protect their lives and their children from relentless Russian missile and drone attacks. This critical information is not merely strategic support – it is the difference between life and death, providing civilians precious minutes to seek safety underground.
Ukrainians have been subjected to constant and brutal assaults, often targeting densely populated civilian areas at night. For families in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and other cities, real-time data from US intelligence has been integrated directly into Ukraine’s air alert systems. Without this information, these alert systems become significantly less effective, leaving families vulnerable and unable to protect their children from nightly terror.
Halting intelligence sharing inevitably endangers more innocent lives and undermines efforts to minimize civilian casualties. The Ukrainian people have already suffered tremendous trauma and loss. The decision to suspend this vital cooperation weakens Ukraine’s defenses at a critical moment and constitutes a profound moral failure.
We urgently call on the United States to immediately reverse this dangerous and morally indefensible decision. Lives depend on swift action, and the Ukrainian people deserve the continued support of their allies now more than ever.
The world is watching. The United States must restore intelligence cooperation immediately – before more innocent Ukrainians pay the ultimate price.
