Nordic Ukraine Forum hosts seminar for universities in Sweden

The non-profit Nordic Ukraine Forum hosted an academic seminar in Stockholm titled “Why Ukraine Matters,” focusing on Ukraine’s ongoing challenges and achievement amid ongoing war, as well as Europe’s role in supporting the country. 

The organization reported that the event, held on Feb. 27, featured senior students from leading North American universities who study in Sweden.

Alina Zubkovych, Chair of the Nordic Ukraine Forum, and Anastasia Lenko, a staff member of Sveriges Riksdag, led discussions on Ukraine’s progress and hurdles after three years of war, Ukraine-Sweden relations, and Sweden’s military and humanitarian support for Ukraine. 

The speakers emphasized Ukraine’s resilience and highlighted the critical role played by international allies, including Sweden and the U.S. in shaping the country’s future.
