NATO is about to equip the Armed Forces of Ukraine with devices that will help it neutralize both Russian and Iranian drones, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said yesterday at a press conference following the meetings of NATO Defense Ministers.
“Under this package [NATO’s Comprehensive Assistance Package], NATO will shortly deliver counter-drone equipment to Ukraine. Hundreds of drone jammers can help render Russian and Iranian-made drones ineffective… to protect Ukrainian people and critical infrastructure,” Stoltenberg said.
According to the NATO secretary general, the package also includes fuel, winter clothing and medical supplies. “Over the longer term, we will also help Ukraine to transition from Soviet-era to modern NATO equipment,” he added.
