Monday Morning: Russia launches 50 missiles, Ukraine downs 44

Ukrainian Monday morning began with air raid alarms and explosion thuds in many cities in yet another massive missile attack by Russian barbarians.

According to the Air Force command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in the two hours between 7-9 am, Russia launched 50 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles at critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 44 of the rockets.

The rockets were launched from Tu-95/Tu-160 strategic air force missile-carrying aircraft from the north of the Caspian Sea and from the Volgodonsk district in Rostov Oblast.

Along with the missiles, the Russians used the now-traditional kamikaze drones.

As a result of the attacks in the Kyiv Oblast, part of the capital – about 350,000 apartments – are now without electricity. In some areas, the water supply is impaired, as reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced that the city’s electric transport, including the subway, is left without energy.

In total, “missiles and drones hit 10 regions, where 18 objects were damaged, most of which are energy-related,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel.
