The Russian occupiers destroyed a part of captured Mariupol, located on the left bank of the Kalmius River. Invaders’ destruction has made it nearly impossible to recognize the districts and streets of the city from the photo, Petro Andryushchenko, adviser Mariupol’s mayor, wrote in Telegram.
“The left bank of Mariupol no longer exists. Physically. From Meotida Boulevard to Peremohy Avenue, the occupiers are turning the city into a scene for the Apocalypse. Without stopping,” reads the message, which includes an apocalyptic video.
“Looking at many photos and videos from the city, it is impossible to recognize not just an address, but sometimes a district of the city. At this rate, by the first of March, the usual Mariupol will turn into a desert,” Andryushchenko added.
