The leaders of Italy, Germany and France arrived in Kyiv on Thursday to express solidarity with Ukraine’s struggle against full-scale Russian invasion. The meeting is one day before the European Commission is expected to release its recommendations of Ukraine’s status as an EU candidate.
European leaders visited Irpin, a suburb of Kyiv, to see for themselves the scale of the tragedy of the Russian invasion.
During a visit to #Irpin, Chancellor Scholz said: "This war has to end". Dear @Bundeskanzler, you have all the power to achieve this goal. #SupportUkraine, its EU candidacy, secure uninterrupted supply of DE heavy weapons to UA, and Ukrainians will stop this war and global crisis pic.twitter.com/9BbbbFMGji
