Lithuanian World Community congratulates Ukrainians on the Independence Day of Ukraine

On the Independence Day of Ukraine, the President of the Lithuanian World Community, Dalia Henke, sent a letter of congratulations to UWC President Paul Grod and Ukraine’s Ambassador to Lithuania Petro Beshta:

The Lithuanian World Community congratulates the Ukrainian people on the anniversary of their independence.

Lithuanians around the world stand with Ukraine in solidarity for democracy, freedom and peace. Ukrainians have shown the world that they will fight for these values.

We Lithuanians support wholeheartedly Ukraine.

Attached to the letter was a resolution adopted by the Lithuanian World Community Seimas on July 20, 2022, in which the Seimas expresses its solidarity with Ukraine and its full support for Ukraine, its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity; strongly supports the strategic objectives of Ukraine’s European integration; and urges the Board of the Lithuanian World Community and the Lithuanian communities and other organizations of the Lithuanian diaspora to actively engage in the protection of Ukraine, which is experiencing Russian aggression.
