Support the Ukrainian defenders

“We are very grateful for the support of Ukrainians living abroad, very grateful to the Diaspora, the Ukrainian World Congress who support us. This support is truly tangible.” Said Serhii Filimonov, battalion commander of Da Vinci’s Wolves.

“Our primary focus at the UWC is to strengthen Ukraine’s battlefield capabilities using all the resources at our disposal. Drones and UAVs have become crucial assets in Ukraine’s arsenal. The future of warfare is unmanned and autonomous, and Ukraine is leading the way in this field. The more than 200 FPV drones delivered by the UWC team today come from a Ukrainian manufacturer that was selected not simply because they are Ukrainian and employ Ukrainian labor and engineers but because their product is of the highest quality,” stated Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress.

The “Unite with Ukraine” team collaborated with drone pilots from the Wolves UAV attack unit to strategically select FPV drones from the Ukrainian manufacturer Verba in 7 and 10-inch frame sizes. These orders were customized to fit specific combat assignments, geographic locations, and to combat the Electronic Warfare capabilities of the aggressor. The order included drones, batteries, ground communication stations, antennas, and other necessary equipment and accessories.

“This is an investment in Ukraine’s independence,” said Andrew Potichnyj, Director of the Ukrainian World Congress’ “Unite with Ukraine” initiative.

“You realize after talking to these guys that the need never stops. These guys are in an existential fight with very few resources.  The work never ends for them or us. Thank you to the Ukrainian World Congress for partnering with us on this project; we look forward to doing many more,” commented Christian Borys, Founder of Saint Javelin.

The donation, valued at over USD $200,000 or approximately 8 million UAH, was funded by the “Santa’s Birds” joint fundraising campaign of the Ukrainian World Congress and Saint Javelin. The campaign received support from diaspora organizations such as the Lemko Foundation, the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress—Toronto Branch, the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organizations, and individual donors worldwide.
