International Conference in Kyiv to discuss comprehensive state-of-the-art system for tactical medicine education in Ukraine  

On 24-25 March 2016, the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine) will be the venue for an international conference – Tactical Medicine in Ukraine: Introduction into Military and Law Enforcement Academic Institutions and Training Programs, organized by the Ukrainian World Congress humanitarian initiative Patriot Defence with the participation of the National Academy and the Military Medical Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The two-day conference will present international experience in establishing tactical medicine educational and training programs, share the success stories of the various Ukrainian security forces in implementing the training programs in academic institutions and Basic Training, and introduce a comprehensive state-of-the-art system for tactical medicine education in Ukraine.

The conference program consists of plenary sessions, panel discussions, roundtables and presentations by international and Ukrainian experts.

Speakers will include civilian and military medical professionals from Ukraine, the USA and other NATO member-states who are experts in the field of tactical medicine and involved in the development of educational and training programs. The keynote address will be delivered by J. F. Rick Hammesfahr, M.D., a founder of tactical medicine.
