Institute for the Study of War key findings on June 6

The Ukrainian Navy said that it pushed the Russian Black Sea Fleet more than 100 kilometers off the coast of Ukraine which is expected to ease pressure of the enemy blockade on Ukraine’s southern ports.

Russian forces are likely to retain control of most of Severodonetsk, although the situation remains highly dynamic. Control of the terrain is reportedly passing back and forth.

Russian troops around Izyum and Lyman have been unable to make notable advances.

The enemy has been unable to cut off Ukrainian supply lines in the direction of Bakhmut.

Limited and local Ukrainian counterattacks have forced Russian troops to focus on maintaining defensive lines north of Kharkiv.
