The United States of America can help Ukraine and Israel simultaneously while maintaining the international level of defense capability, US President Joe Biden said.
“We’re the United States of America, for God’s sake. The most powerful nation in history – not in the world, in the history of the world. The history of the world. We can take care of both of these and still maintain our overall international defense. And if we don’t, who does?” Biden said.
The US president emphasized that the wars in Ukraine and Israel are related to the security of the American people, so both countries should be supported. One of the goals in Ukraine was to prevent President Putin, who committed war crimes, from occupying an independent country on the border with NATO allies, Biden said.
“Imagine what happens now if he were able to succeed. Have you ever known a major war in Europe we didn’t get sucked into? We don’t want that to happen. We want to make sure those democracies are sustained. And Ukraine is critical in making sure that happens,” the American president said.
Recently, the USA declared that it will continue to provide Ukraine with weapons without interruption. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin made such a promise at a meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Brussels on October 11.
