HIMARS changed the rules of the game, but we need missiles with a longer range, – Reznikov

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal Oleksii Reznikov said the need for longer-range weapons continues to outpace the Ukrainians’ demand for shorter-range systems as the war shifts primarily to an artillery battle, and more will be needed… to recapture territories seized by Russia after February 24.

“The American HIMARS MLRS have changed the rules of the game, but we need more weapons. The occupiers use MLRS that can hit at a distance of 120 kilometers. Therefore, we need installations with a range of up to 150 km. It is also necessary to supply armored vehicles, tanks and drones. Western partners saw that we can effectively use their weapons, and that’s good.”

“We need to update our military units, carry out replacements, because we also have a lot of losses. We expect more armored vehicles, more weapons from our partners. We need to rebuild some areas, update our fortifications and develop a new operational strategy,” he said.
