UWC President Paul Grod warmly congratulated the American people on the U.S. Independence Day and thanked them for their support of Ukraine.
On behalf of the Ukrainian World Congress, I want to wish all Americans and friends of the United States a Happy Independence Day.
US Independence Day has a special meaning to all Ukrainian Americans as their brethren today are fighting Ukraine’s War of Independence against Russia’s unprovoked invasion and ongoing bombings. The Unite States America has opened its arms to hundred of thousands of Ukrainians fleeing war and tyranny in their homeland over the last century.
Americans and Ukrainians have a special kinship with warm hearts, love of peace and desire to live free.
We pray that 2022 be the last time that the United States has to accept Ukrainian war refugees.
Glory to the United States of America, Glory to Ukraine. Happy Independence Day!
