The fourth LRU multiple rocket launcher from France has been delivered to Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced on Twitter.
“The 4th brother in the Long Hand family, LRU from France, has arrived in Ukraine! The Ukrainian Army now is even more powerful for deterring & destroying the enemy,” he tweeted.
The Ukrainian defense minister also said the fourth LRU delivery was a visible result of the friendship between the presidents of Ukraine and France and thanked his French counterpart Sébastien Lecornu and the French government and people.
According to the Ministry of Armed Forces of France, the Unitary Rocket Launcher (Lance-Roquettes Unitaire, LRU) was developed by the United States on a BRADLEY M 270 tracked chassis. Equipped with a 500 horsepower power unit and built in Europe by France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy, the LRU is intended for ground-to-ground artillery regiments.
