The Ukrainian Association in Finland (UAF) has announced the introduction of a Ukrainian audio guide at the Finnish Photography Museum in Helsinki.
“We are also happy to announce that the Ukrainian Association in Finland has joined the project. The audio guide was created for the Etsin (“Viewfinder”) permanent exhibition. Listening to it, you will learn not only about the history of photography, but also about an important episode of cultural ties between our countries: the legendary Ukrainian theater actress Maria Zankovetska’s stay in Finland. What a way to celebrate the 170th anniversary of her birth!” UAF wrote.
The recordings are available in both Ukrainian and Finnish languages. The audio content is also accessible on platforms like Spotify and other popular podcast services. Admission to the museum is free for Ukrainians.
The project was initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland, with a grant from the Finnish Museums Association. “Special thanks to the Theater, Music and Film Museum of Ukraine for their support in the work on the episode about Maria Zankovetska,” added the UAF.
Earlier, the Ukrainian audio guide was launched on the sightseeing route of the Finnish capital’s “Historic Center of Helsinki,” and on one of Finland’s largest and most important tourist locations, the island fortress of Suomenlinna (Sveaborg).
Additionally, as of March 6, the renowned Dutch artist Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam has started offering Ukrainian audio, announced Olena Zelenska.
