Finland will deliver another package of defense materiel to Ukraine worth €55.6 million, according to the Finnish Defense Ministry’s press release. The decision was made by President Sauli Niinistö on the proposal of the government on Nov. 17.
This will be the tenth and largest package of such aid, topping up €160.4 million of the combined value of all defense materiel packages already submitted by Finland to Ukraine. Both Ukraine’s needs and the resources of Finland’s Defense Forces have been taken into account when deciding on additional assistance.
“Ukraine continues to need support in defending its territory. The range of defense materiel now being sent is largest so far,” Finland’s Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen said.
For operational reasons and to ensure that the delivery reaches its destination, more detailed information on the content of the assistance, manner of delivery or schedule will not be provided.
