The European Congress of Ukrainians (ECU) played a key role in organizing a conference and roundtable discussions at the Aspen Institute Central Europe where Czech President Petr Pavel met with Ukrainian defender Oksana Rubaniak.
“The organization is bringing the personal experiences of our defenders to the EU’s political representatives,” the ECU stated.
In addition to meeting with the Czech president, Rubaniak appeared on local television, gave interviews to several media outlets, and also held talks with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.
“The Ukrainian army will stand firm until the end, defending our country. We are not just protecting ourselves, but also those who stand with us and rely on us,” Rubaniak said in an interview with ČT24.
She also called on NATO countries to support Kyiv in its fight.
“The enemy aims to destroy everything in its path. If we don’t stop them, the consequences will be felt not just in Ukraine, but across other countries. That’s why we must stop them where they are now,” Rubaniak said.
