East Europe Foundation introduces new course on Ukrainian civil society

The Kyiv-based East Europe Foundation has launched an online course that delves into the history and development of civil society in Ukraine. This initiative aims to provide valuable educational resources for representatives of the public sector, government officials, educators, and engaged youth.

Divided into 12 lectures, the course “explores the socio-political events and processes that have shaped Ukrainian civil society. It will be beneficial for anyone interested in understanding the history of our society’s development,” the nonprofit foundation said.

Specific topics include the avant-garde movements in Ukrainian civil society, revolutionary movements, the role of journalism, multiculturalism, and societal cohesion.

It places particular emphasis on the Orange Revolution, the Revolution of Dignity, civil society in Crimea and eastern Ukraine, as well as anti-colonial movements and emerging institutions.

Upon successfully completing the course, participants will receive a certificate, which grants 0.2 credits in the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) or six academic hours, recognized as self-education.

All courses on the platform are free and available at any time. You can start the course by following the provided link.
