The CYM members dedicated the General Meeting-Plenum of the CYM National Executive and Leadership Seminar to this significant anniversary.
“As a member from Canada, I am pleased to note that over the past seven and a half decades, CYM has become one of the most powerful Ukrainian youth organizations educating Ukrainian youth on high spiritual and national principles under the slogan “God and Ukraine,” Ukrainian World Congress President Paul Grod greeted the guests. “And each of us in Canada is a defender of Ukraine on a global scale.”
Among the honored guests at the banquet were: Yvan Baker, Member of Parliament of Canada; Oleksandr Shevchenko, Consul General of Ukraine in Toronto; Ihor Michalchyshyn, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress; Roman Medyk, Chairman of the Future Foundation, and many other guests, representatives of the clergy, regional and local UWC chapters.
“We are convinced that even greater achievements and accomplishments await the UWC in Canada in the foreseeable future, of which you are the creators! Thank you for being faithful to the Destiny and your calling, preserving the traditions of your predecessors and multiplying their achievements,” congratulated the World Executive of the Ukrainian Youth Association CYM in Canada and noted that on this anniversary “the national organization of this field is celebrating in the prime of life and with a large baggage of good deeds done for the glory of God and Ukraine.”
