Chicago’s Ukrainian community protests against Mondelēz

On May 18, the Chicago Ukrainian community held another rally against Mondelēz, an American company that continues to operate in the Russian market. The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), Illinois Division, organized the event.

The activists called for the company to halt its operations in Russia, highlighting that the Kremlin utilizes tax revenues from such activities to finance the war against Ukraine.

The rally took place shortly before Mondelēz’s shareholder meeting, scheduled for May 22. There, the issue of exiting the Russian market will be raised.

The UCCA Illinois Division is conducting a systematic campaign against Mondelēz, emphasizing that operating in Russia is immoral.
