Best Soviet practices: Russians teach children in occupied territories to snitch

The Russians in the occupied territories of Ukraine are teaching Ukrainian children to tell on others, the National Resistance Center (NRC) reported. “On the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region, Russians are conducting lessons on denunciation among local teenagers,” the statement said.

Children are being taught to identify “extremists” and “terrorists” and report them to the occupiers. During these lessons, children are also shown propaganda videos and lectured about “Nazis” in Ukraine.

In this way, the enemy wants to identify disloyal people among parents using children. At the same time, children are being taught that loving their homeland is a sign of extremism, thus intimidating them and trying to marginalize everything Ukrainian,” the NRC wrote. All those involved in this process will be identified and punished, the statement emphasizes.

Earlier, it was reported that the Russians are using sports as a tool of propaganda and are attempting to advance their own interests to Ukrainian youth in this way. In the occupied territories of Ukraine, the occupiers have created the so-called “Russian Student Sports Union.”
