A public presentation of the book The War for Ukraine: Strategy and Adaptation Under Fire by Mick Ryan, Major General (Ret’d) of the Australian Army and military strategist, will be held in Sydney. The event will also be streamed online, the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) reported.
“In his new book, Mick argues that the soundness of military strategy and the nimbleness with which strategy can adapt to unforeseen circumstances are the two most important factors in deciding victory or defeat. Mick believes this is the clearest lesson to emerge from Russia’s war in Ukraine,” the text writes.
Ryan, a vocal supporter of Ukraine, has provided insightful and expert analysis on the war to both Australian and international audiences, highlights the AFUO.
“His recent submission to the Australian Government’s “Australian Support for Ukraine” inquiry made a strong case for a more effective and efficient whole of government approach to assisting Ukraine, to “ensure that all Australians can be proud of the support their nation is providing to the people of Ukraine,” the AFUO adds.
The book presentation is scheduled for September 19 from 12:30 to 13:30 local time. Registration can be done via this link, and the online stream will be available here.
