The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) members received the Orders of the British Empire: Petro Rewko, AUGB Board Chairman, for services to the Ukrainian Community, Anna Marta Dezyk (Hanya Dezyk), AUGB Deputy Chair for services to Ukrainian Refugees, Iryna Terlecky, AUW Chair and AUGB Board member for services to Ukrainian Refugees, as well as Inna Hryhorovych, Chair of Association of Ukrainian Teachers and Head Teacher, St Mary’s Ukrainian School for services to Education and to the Ukrainian Community in the UK.
“The work of members of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain has been recognised and celebrated in the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours list,” AUGB reports. The award is for extraordinary contribution and service to the UK and beyond.
Ukrainians received the awards for services to the Ukrainian community and Ukrainian refugees. “This is a great honour for us all and recognition of the tireless work of our whole community in these most difficult times for Ukraine,” AUGB added.
The Ukrainian World Congress joins in the congratulations and expresses gratitude to Petro Rewko, Anna Marta Dezyk, Iryna Terlecky, Inna Hryhorovych, and all active members of the diaspora for their unwavering support of Ukraine.
