On Sunday, 11 September, russian forces launched missiles on three critical infrastructure targets in the Kharkiv region that play crucial roles in power supply of the entire region.
Equipment of Kharkiv’s largest Thermal Power Plant No. 5 caught on fire. Two members of the facility’s staff were killed.
Attacks on civilian infrastructure, in particular, on a thermal power plant like the one carried out by the russian army two days earlier, are the next stage of the escalation of hostilities. The enemy intends to destroy power plants, railways, and any civil infrastructure. “This is the theory of war. And if it is systematic, we will see the transition to the next stage,” explained military expert Mykhailo Zhyrokhov on Radio NV.
