Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain acknowledged at Royal Garden Party

Representatives of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) attended an official reception at the Royal Garden in Buckingham Palace, as reported by the AUGB.

Tuesday, 21 May 2024, was a landmark day for members of three AUGB Branches – Derby, Bradford and Liverpool – who had the honour of receiving invitations to attend the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace,” the publication states.

At the event, representatives of the Ukrainian community received acknowledgement and thanks for their efforts in supporting Ukraine. “This prestigious event recognized their exceptional contributions and tireless dedication to supporting temporarily displaced Ukrainians and fundraising efforts for Ukraine. Their relentless efforts in supporting displaced Ukrainians in their branches, organizing aid to Ukraine, and their long-standing service to the AUGB and other organizations at various levels are commendable,” the AUGB writes.

Prince William, as well as his cousins, participated in the event. “During the event, some of the AUGB members had the honour of being presented to Princess Beatrice and enjoyed a lengthy conversation with her. Despite the rain that persisted throughout the afternoon, the experience was memorable and thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees. This day will remain etched in their memories for years to come. We extend our heartfelt congratulations and pride to our members for being presented with this wonderful opportunity. Their loyal service to the Ukrainian community and their hard work, often unnoticed, deserve our deepest appreciation‍,” the AUGB emphasized.
