A Ukrainian World Congress delegation will attend the 77th session of the UN General Assembly that will open today in New York, New York, at 3:00 pm Eastern time (10:00 pm in Kyiv).
According to the UNGA 77 provisional agenda, the session will focus on sustained economic growth and sustainable development, international peace and security, human rights, justice, and international law, disarmament, and other issues.
In addition to the opening on Sep 13 and general debate from Sep 20 – 26, the session is scheduled to include a summit on transforming education (Sep 19), a commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities (Sep 21) and a high-level plenary to commemorate the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons (Sep 26).
