A large number of anti-Ukrainian materials were found by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police as part of security measures on the territory of the Pochaiv Theological Seminary and the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC-MP), the SBU reports.
In particular, literature was found that denies the existence of the Ukrainian people and language, as well as Ukraine’s right to statehood. Instead, it is emphasized that Ukraine is allegedly an artificially created state.
Brochures and books of xenophobic and hateful content with offensive fiction about other nationalities and religions were also found.
Most of the literature is written by Russian authors and printed in Russia.
In one of the utility rooms of the UOC-MP Ivano-Frankivsk Diocese, the SBU found shoulder sleeve insignia of the Almighty Don Host, an illegal armed formation that in 2014 helped the ruscists occupy part of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts.
All this evidence is a ground for initiating criminal cases.
Earlier, a similar operation with similar results was carried out by the law enforcement agencies at the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, as well as in the Korets Nunnery and the premises of the Sarny-Polissia Eparchy of the UOC-MP in Rivne Oblast.
