The Ukrainian World Congress thanks Katarína Mathernová for her cooperation and continued efforts in furthering Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations and appreciates the EU’s decision to appoint her as the next Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine.
Katarína Mathernová, Deputy Director-General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement at the European Commission, will become the new EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Euractiv reported on April 19.
Ms. Mathernová confirmed the news on Twitter and said it was a great honor for her.

“Mathernová’s appointment could be pivotal in promoting European interests in Ukraine while offering all the technical support and expertise Kyiv needs to progress on its accession path,” an EU official anonymously told Euractiv.
The Ukrainian World Congress wishes Ms. Mathernová a successful term in office and accomplishments in her diplomatic work for Ukraine’s European future.
