Ukrainian World Congress condemns Russia’s persecution of Crimean Tatars on seventy-first anniversary of their forced deportation
The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) condemns the persecution of the Crimean Tatar population more than one year after the illegal occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and 71 years after the forced deportation of the Crimean Tatars by Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.

Ukrainian World Congress urges UN Secretary-General to not participate in the Victory Day commemorations in Russia
 
On 6 May 2015 Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij urged UN Secretary-General Ban Ki‑moon to not participate in the Victory Day commemorations on 9 May 2015 in the Russian Federation.
 
Drawing on the lessons of history, the UWC President emphasized the need for the international community to focus on the very real threat of a new global conflict stemming from the aggression by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, overwhelmingly condemned as a violation of international law and agreements.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin meets with Ukrainian World Congress President Eugene Czolij in Montreal
 
On 1 May 2015 in Montreal, Canada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij.
 
They discussed the plan of action for the UWC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the context of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ukrainian World Congress and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine signed on 28 August 2014. The main focus was on strengthening common efforts to internationally further the defence of Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity, and its expedited Euro-integration.
