Ukrainian World Congress President concludes working visit to Brussels to strengthen international support for Ukraine

20-22 April 2015 Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij concluded a working visit to Brussels, Belgium, where he met with high-ranking officials of the European Union, NATO and Belgium, the current chair of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The meetings focused on strategically strengthening support for Ukraine prior to the upcoming EU-Ukraine Summit in Ukraine and the Summit of the Eastern Partnership in Riga, Latvia.

UWC President to discuss further support for Ukraine with high-ranking EU and NATO officials in light of persistent aggression from Russian Federation

On 20-22 April 2015 Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij will be on a working visit to Brussels, Belgium, to meet with high-ranking officials of the European Union, Belgium, and NATO.
Prior to the EU-Ukraine Summit being held in Ukraine and the Summit of the Eastern Partnership scheduled for Riga, Latvia, the UWC President will discuss with high-ranking officials the importance of providing further assistance to Ukraine in strengthening its defensive capabilities in light of the persistent aggression from the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) urges UNESCO to condemn human rights violations in the illegally occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) by the Russian Federation and, adhering with UNESCO’s mandate, to continue monitoring fundamental human rights and freedoms in Crimea in the areas of education, science, culture, communication and information in accordance with the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
